Quilting Basics - $50, 3hr class

When: Monday, October 6, 5:30-8:30 pm (shop will open at 5 for participants)

Level: Beginner (class for adults 18 and up) 

Have you wanted to learn how to quilt but you're intimidated by the thought of making an entire bed sized quilt? Start small with Quilting Basics. In this beginner’s class you will learn the basics of quilting. Using a charm pack, you'll learn simple piecing techniques, and quilting tips create quilted panels and bind them together for a tote. After class you'll walk out with tote and the confidence to tackle your next quilting project! 

Supplies (available for purchase at by & by):

• Sewing machine (if you need to use a shop machine, please indicate below) 
• One charm pack
• 3/4 of a yard of fabric 
• 2 yards of webbing (1 - 1 1/2")
• Thread 
• Craft size batting

Suggested Supplies:

• Extra fabric for tote variation
• Extra webbing for tote variation
• Ribbon if you want your tote to be extra

Supplied by quilt shop:

• Large cutting mats
• Rotary cutter
• Ironing boards
• Irons
• Flatter (starch)
